ERC Project

Project Title:

The Whole Hinds County Project

Host Community or Region:

Mississippi

Host Organization:

Communities Unlimited
Building on the successful East Texas model supported by the TLL Temple Foundation, Communities Unlimited is expanding its ConnectRURAL program (Regions Underserved, Resources Available Lineup) to address unique infrastructure and public safety challenges in rural areas. The project implements a strategic three-tiered support system functioning at hyperlocal, local-regional, and regional-state levels. By integrating staff, funding, and technical assistance directly within rural communities, the initiative empowers residents to drive their own place-making objectives. This bottom-up approach gives communities the tools and agency needed to create sustainable, community-led development solutions that reflect local priorities and needs.
