Vonnette Harris

Vonnette is excited to work on this important initiative alongside Enterprise Community Partners and coalition stakeholders, and be part of the inaugural cohort of ERC Fellows.

Vonnette Harris is a credentialed real estate professional with over twenty years of experience within the affordable housing industry. Throughout her career, Mrs. Harris has completed over $230 million dollars in mixed-financed transactions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Led by an unwavering belief that quality housing is a fundamental right and not a privilege for some, Mrs. Harris formed Kairos Development in 2018.  Kairos Development seeks to address the socio-economic disparities in communities of color that are historically disinvested throughout the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area. Kairos Development is a certified M/WBE that provides exceptional real estate development consulting services, customized to meet the capacity needs of its clients.

Mrs. Harris is a native of Norfolk, Virginia, and a graduate of Norfolk State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.  She holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Law and was licensed to practice law in December 2000.

Her faith, family, and community are most important to her as she strives to leave a legacy of love, compassion, determination, and grace towards her fellow man.

Purple Line Housing Preservation & Anti-displacement Working Group

The "Purple Line Housing Preservation and Anti-Displacement Working Group" addresses the pressing issue of housing instability near the Purple Line in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties, Md. The project aims to stabilize essential workers near transit, prevent displacement, and promote economic mobility. The ERC Fellow will design and launch a preservation network focused on proactively preserving and improving affordable homes for households earning $72,000 or below and assist stakeholders interested in preserving these homes.
